As early as 1994, our founder Michael Wagner met the young Indonesian girl Putu and her family while visiting a parrot breeding station in Bali.

Putu''s family made traditional handicrafts from coffee wood. When Michael was looking for beautiful and natural bird toys and bird home furnishings, im Putu suggested that her family could make these things. This is how a wonderful friendship developed over 20 years ago and the products of the "Java" brand among the Putu, their parents and meanwhile also whose children make beautiful things for birds and dogs by hand.

In addition to the well-known Java Trees (outdoor seating for parrots), the beautiful climbing perches and the colorful wooden toys for cockatoos and macaws, which are dyed with food coloring, Putu''s produces small Family business also makes chews and chew toys for dogs.

All the wood used comes from the islands of Bali and Java and is obtained from plantation cultivation. This is elaborately dried and sandblasted. All products are made by hand.
