Use in breeding preparation in a 1:3 mixture with maintenance and as a basic feed for large parrot species.
 
Also ideal as a transition feed. (Available in four packages)
 
Our manufacturing facility, Hommersche Mühle GmbH, has been producing tasty and easily digestible parrot pellets in its own mixing and pelleting facility since July 2001. Dr. Stephan Dreyer, a feed expert with teaching appointments at the University of Stuttgart-Hohenheim, strengthens our team of experts. All raw materials are of food-grade quality; strict incoming goods inspections ensure the quality of the ingredients, as does the constant, critical monitoring of the production process and results. Furthermore, we do not use any residual or by-products, such as pomace and/or spent grain, as is otherwise common practice. We also avoid the addition of table salt and sugar, which are acceptable but rightly frowned upon, as well as synthetic colors and fragrances.
 
Our genuine pellets offer the following advantages: With every piece, the bird absorbs all the nutrients contained in our pellets. A one-sided diet based on selecting individual grains (including high-fat seeds like sunflower seeds, etc.) is not possible. Our pellets ensure an optimal basic supply of all essential vitamins, trace elements, and minerals, eliminating the need for a vitamin supplement.
 
Our pellets are characterized by a balanced ratio of protein, carbohydrates, and fat and are easily digestible.
Our pellets contain coarse components and are therefore adapted to the natural diet. The gizzard must therefore "work" even when fed pellets.
Our selected suppliers have confirmed that the raw materials supplied do not come from genetically modified seeds, do not contain genetically modified organisms, and are not irradiated.
 
In contrast to extruded products (with undesirable but avoidable starch breakdown, too little crude fiber, a poor energy-to-protein ratio, and excessively hot production), our pellets are preferable. They are compressed only at frictional heat, with natural starch, and instead of crude fiber with a freely selectable energy content, in a way that is appropriate for the animal and species. A detailed explanation of this important difference between ready-made feeds is available here on request. Furthermore, despite vitamin and trace element supplementation, we do not recommend our high-quality products for use as a sole feed. Fruits and vegetables, sprouted and cooked food, treats, and snacks remain important as a nutritious supplement, even in the age of home-made ready-to-eat food.

Als Faustregel gilt ca. 6-10% vom Körpergewicht pro Tag je nach Bewegung und Haltebedingungen. Die Mehrzahl der Vögel nimmt unsere Pellets Spontan an. Bei einigen Vögeln kann es jedoch mehrere Tage, Wochen und auch Monate dauern bis diese sich auf das neue Futter in der ungewohnten Art umstellen. In diesem Fall sollten Sie das bisherige Futter in stark reduzierter Menge (1-2 Esslöffel) jeden Abend über das neue Futter geben.
